berikutan kekelam kabutan dan ketidak organizan ISoc nyer iftar, aku dgn selambe memberi feedback yg berbunyi sebegini:
assalamualaikum
alhamdulillah, the iftaar was a success. the room was full of people and there was enough food for everybody.
apart from that, i think that there should be queue for the food. it was a not-so-good situation yesterday, where people r crowding aroung the table to grab some food. if a am a non-muslim, i would see this as "they are a bunch of people, who seems starving, who can't wait a second to eat". this may give bad impression.
we can see people queueing at bustops, to buy football tickets, and even queue for the movie tickets, why dont we show them that we also can do it in our ceremonies?
the setback from yesterday, there are few people who ate very few, because of the never-ending crowd around the table. i've been to other iftaar, and it was better as everybody can have their good time to choose the food they wanted. that is a prove that we can do it as well.
THIS IS MY PERSONAL VIEW, and i hope that there will be improvement in any coming occasions. fasting is a way of controlling our lust (any type of lust). if we cant control our lust towards food, maybe we have to review our fast. after all, congratulations to the organiser, really looking forward to have such gathering in the future.
may god forgive us all
wassalam

JazakAllah! I agree with your comments, and all of should take is constructively to correct ourselves
Wassalam
Salam All,
It was really masha’Allah great event. I would see it differently. There was a little space and by the grace of Allah there was more then expected crowd.
So I think the way one brother write is not at all good way to express his own thinking this may can hurt others. Especially such words “lust of hunger” because it might be mismanagement (Which I think is also unfair to say because in my view management did exceptional job).
Please avoid personal comments on this group.
Thanks
Note: I think moderation need to be stricter.
Regards
I think you are right.
And for next time, I think we need more preparation and have larger room and of course cooler one.
It was warm.
I was surprise that many people came into the ceremony. I like it.
Chriss (learning connection officer) said that we can use 'gate one' as the venue.
But I don't know what he meant. Is it an open space?
If it's, I think we can show and practice our sholat Maghrib to let anyone knows how we do our pray.
Or is it the caft?
And why don't we make a real Safari Ramadhan for the next one?
And ifthaar could be held at different place ie. once we do at Flinders Uni, next at Uni Adel, and UniSA etc.
But I think it depends on the fund as well because I hear that in some places we need to pay
to have our ceremony be done there.
Those are my opinion.
However, I could understand and thanked to all participants and attendances.
Be ready....Idul Fitri is coming...
Wassalam
Assalam Alekum,
first of all, kindly accept my greetings for conducting such an
impressive Aftar Party. there we met many Muslim Brothers whom we
never knew before.
As for the earlier comment on Aftar Party, we must remember that
this is just an inniciative. i dont think the arrangements were that
bad that it could be compared with " bunch of people, who seems
starving, who can't wait a second to eat". this may give bad
impression.. i think there are many Kind words available to replace
this sentance. we need to understand that we are connected with an
Association not a Political party, so it would be better if we
Associate with our fellow brothers, not comment.
there can be a possibility that many brothers didnt get enough food
but it would be unjustice if we put all blame on "heavy crowd"
around the tables, since many brother came late or busy talking with
friends. keeping in mind the crowd, the room was not big enough but
i didnt come accross with a single brother who complained of not
getting food.
being a member of this association, i wish to give only one advice
to the people incharge that please next time, try to prepare plates
and give to all visitors so that these problems can be resolved.
finally, again please accept my greetings on such a fantastic aftar
party.
May ALmighty Allah bless us all
Alsalamu Alikum all,
The main purpose of the group Iftaar was to meet and know each other in such a holly Islamic event, Ramadn, so food should not be our main focus. I think the number of participants was underestimated by the organizers as the room was too small for us. Some brothers could not pray Maghrib and they had to wait outside the room.
I am sure that the next time would be better. I suggest that in next time some amount of money could be collected from each participant (say 5 to 10 dollars) in order for the organizers to know the exact number of participants to provide enough space, dishes, cups, water, seats, and tables. Eating on the floor was not appropriate. Also, the place of eating must be separated from the prayer place so that some non Muslims could be invited.
I invite each one who participated in iftaar to say his opinions and suggestions for the next year enshaAllah.
Finally, I would like to thank the people who organized and participated in this iftaar.
I wish you all happy Eied.
blog ko da nampak islamic dan o-bahnic..hurm bley ar. tp dua peristiwa besar ko xletak
1. kicap kesayangan anep dipecahkan- sebagai simbolik upacara batal air sembahyang anep-botol kicap
2. sahabat kita c*rit- b*rit
words are words. dah orang kate mayb. yang gelabah sgt pehal.
haha.
aku rasa msg ko tuh btul...tapi cara penyampaian tuh salah. bahasa mmg agak kasar dan kurang proper. haha
aku kat sini pun bermasalah itu.aku mmg tak berani nak send email atau beri komen tulisan bahasa english sbb takut org salah paham dan msg sebenar tak sampai.
aku slalu pass text msg utk email atau ape2 kepada sorang sister nih (british muslim) yg slalu aje membetulkan aku nyer email. kadang2 tuh 100% kena tukar. uhh. pasrah2.
tapi takpe, janji msg tersampai walaupun ini menunjukkan kelemahan aku dlm penulisan communication english. huhu.
bila la nak improve nih...kes2
ko komen la balik kata english ko tuh tak bagus. cakap- "sorry, i speak manglish" hahaha :p
haha, kelakar la korang. bagi aku, kalau dah namanya satu organisasi, takde masalah nak guna perkataan bunch of starving creatures ke, apa masalah.
kalau aku berada kat adelaide n jadi committee this event, aku rasa sangat berbangga aa.. pasal orang cakap terus terang. kalau dok belok kanan, belok kiri, silap2 mesej tak sampai.
ni la masalah bila orang tak faham ayat. bila orang cakap a 'bunch of starving people', maknanya, semua orang yg ada kat situ is part of that bunch, termasuk committee dan PENULIS sendiri. tapi orang tak faham. dia tak nampak, yg penulis turut include diri sendiri. dia nampak penulis cam hentam committee.
pernah beberapa kali tegur komuniti melayu bristol. abes, derang2 terasa. padahal, cuba dia fikir. kalau aku kata orang melayu ni malas, aku melayu gak. dan aku pun cakap aku ni malas. nasihat pada semua melayu.
our brother, then kena la terima yg i am talking as your brother, and between brothers, everything is almost transparent
ntah, pendapat saya je

Oh wow Ihsan. I never know that ko nye blog nie mendapat sambutan hangat dr pelbagai kaum (berbahasa melayu utk mengelakkan perselisihan faham).
Aku teringat kata2 Fazley kat AF4 yang dtg dr pelbagai negeri tue...kekadang kita terasa kata2 kita dah tersusun elok, sedap didengar...tapi org yang tak biasa dengan penggunaan bahasa kita mungkin terasa..
