2009 Premier League champions

so holiday started as soon as i submitted the assignment last friday. well, i have to admit it is pretty boring at the moment, but previous week hasnt been short of excitement at all.

1. Iftars

at last, i managed to let loose of working burden, and joined the IDC iftar last Friday. and for few days i managed to have tarawih at the mosques.woho.

2. Bazar Ramadhan

a bazaar ramadhan was held at the adelaide uni lawn last saturday. i did not spend much since i got to go to work afterwards. 2 things we can see from the event, a) we Malaysians love our food regardless the race (kesian plak aku tgk stall makcik bosnia tuh) n b) most of the ppl who responded to issua's banners/posters are malaysian. i shall not give further comment on that.

3. Adebedebahyoor

when Adebayor landed the mancity deal last summer (in the UK), i know that Arsenal is losing a very good players. He is strong in the air, he can hold the ball and he is quicker than Theo Walkot. but i guess his attitudes and antics make the fans threw shit at him, and after the weekend clash, it makes the fans wanna throw shitload of shit at him repetitively, until he suffocate and die in deep shit like this guy. i can understand his reaction/ celebration after he scored against his old club (well, y shouldnt he?), but stomping an ex-team mate in the face INTENTIONALLY is just too much.

well, a lost is a lost and talking about it wont change anything, but i guess AW's decision to sell him is justified.

4. Final Fixture of 2009

so the Foxes played their final fixture for the season at the Hindmarsh, against the top-of-the-table Croydon. this time we were placed in a smaller room to give way to superleague teams playing later that day. after 90 mins n extra time, the score was 1-1. another penalty shootout to decide the league title. The Foxes completed their double as the GK again was the hero after he saved the 4th opponent's penalty (they missed 2 earlier, which 1 of them is one of the most hooribly taken spotkick ever, it was 5m wide off the post). too bad i wasnt able to stay any longer with the ppl since i have to go to Adelaide city mosque n then went to work at 8pm. the sweetest thing is, i received a winners' medal as well wahahahahaha! wahahahahahah!!!!

i already packed my stuffs. a bag less than 7kg for a week stay (yes, ade alasan xupdate). budak2 melben silelah organise bola + makan2 sebanyak2 yg anda boleh k. thanks. i love u.

Exciting opportunity for Malaysians In Australia

Dear All

Sports Medicine Australia has been successful in our funding application to the Australian/Malaysian association.

This means we can support malaysian nationals to attend this year's conference. Depending how many requests we get, we can do anything from fully funded down to a rego waiver. Thus far we have one fully-funded delegate who qualified because he had submitted an abstract (later withdrawn because of lack of funds - lucky him!)

As time is short, this will be a case of first in, best dressed. If you have any Malaysian colleagues, collaborators, contacts - please let me know. If they submit an abstract, they will get a poster.

NBNB This also applies to any Malaysian nationals working or studying in Australia.

The only requirement we make is that they attend a Safer Sport program train the trainer workshop on the Sunday after the conference.

a week it was..

1. bye2 FMC

i passed my musculoskeletal rotation last thursday, n completed the 6-week term last friday. still an assignment to submit and a test to sit this thursday, but the relief of not failing the rotation is hard to overtcome.

2. hello superleague 2010

last saturday, it was a play-off game between the Foxes and the White city away at their ground. the winner of the match will play in the cup final, n will b the 2nd team to be promoted into the super league next season. it was a "sell-out" attendace, there should be at least 800 ppl, mostly the home supporters, came to cheer their teams. we started well n scored early into the match. there were few nervous moments, and with frustration creeping in, the play started to turn ugly. towards the end of the game, the manager told us not to get involve with the shits we're going to receive from the home fans, as it is commonly practiced among ethnic-based fcs. as we walked out of the bench towards the changing room, there was already an arguement happening, but it was between a home fan with the home team coach. i just smirked in amazement n walked off. so the CUFC r going to play in the Super League with the likes of Adelaide City, Metrostars etc. gonna be much more fun, and a lot more interesting injuries!

3. part-time work

i worked 5 days straight monday-friday, n missed all the free nasik arabs for 5 days in a row. for 2 days i broke my fast with strawberries, fries n onion rings in the HJ's changing room, and did not had rice for 5 days. so sabtu n ahad kasik hentam puas2 iftar masjid city n umah kirby yg baru td. skang nih rs mcm octomum je, nk bangun p toilet pon malas wahahahaha.

but the thing is, im a bit disappointed to have to miss all the tarawihs at the mosques.

n i think i've saved enuff money, n various frens/family member suggested me to pergi haji/beli beskal baru/beli moto/jalan2 europe/kawen??/byk yuran uni, but i still havnt decide yet what to do with the money. surely not the kawen part, not for now. well, i was born a saver not a spender (spender wtf)

4. Melbourne Trip

i havnt plan anything yet, i havnt seriuosly contacted anybody in melbourne to arrage my accomodation n other things. i guess i am becoming more carefree overtime n as long as i can spend some time with my brother within the week (17-24 sept), i'll be satisfied with the trip. i recieved a call from him this afternoon, he is in mlebourne already! woho! my plan is to stay a couple of days with frens from Monash Uni, n lepak2 with frens from Melbourne Uni as raya approaching. i was told that MSD held quite a big hari raya feast in previous years, so surely i'll b around the city for that. so budak2 Melben yg kebosanan, ataupon awek2 melben yg kesunyian leh r kontek2 aku, leh kite bermoreh2 beramai2.

5. other stuffs

cow-head issues: those r things we can expect coming from those ppl just by glancing at their leaders' behavior, a truly rempit's professionalism.

stuff uni works n other stuffs, im off now. go read newspapers instead! i'll put up some pics later.. i mean really really later. like 2 or 3 days later.

berfegangkan kefada kalimat fefatah melayu mesopotamia, 'malang xberbau namun nasik sheikhul arabi harum jiddan', ana telah mengsfendkan mase utk mengupdatekan tayar darrajati yg tercinta dengan mengefumfkan menatang asdhar diatas. tujuan dan motif ferbuatan tersebut adalah lianna mengelakkan tayar fancit sefanjang ferjalanan ke mesjit utk berbuka fuasa la. dengan kurgnya kadar femancitan, ana akan dapat hadir ke majlis berbuka fuasa pada 'kitaban mawquta' disamping mengurangkan kadar fencarutan berganda apabila musibah berlaku. disamping itu, ana juga telah menukarkan tayar defan dengan al tayaran jadidan.

2. Dh ramadhan

hi, i dont know if these ppl can be categorised as hoon ,but yesterday after i finished working at a fastfood outlet in Gilles Plains around 11.40pm, i cycled home to paradise. Suddenly a car filled with teenagers/youngsters took over me and started shouting and abusing me. i kept my calm and didnt respond, and i didnt give so much attention to the details because such incident happened quite frequently anywhere around Adelaide.

as i arrived near the paradise interchange, i saw the same car parked on the road side, and the boys started chasing me with a stick, and some of them tried to follow me home too.

it is a bit unfortunate that i didnt manage to get much info other than the colour of the sedan car (maroon/dark red/Brown, well it was at night), and i wasnt able to recognise their faces as well due to the time it happened and i was busy thinking of saving my arse.

this is the second time the similar incident happened along the road, the last time one of the male passenger threw things at me but thank god he just born suck at throwing.

i hope these boys died in a car crash or roadside shooting or some other literally eye-popping gruesome incidents. such people are not suppose to be alive let alone to be on the roads.

hari sabtu yg panas gle, pagi2 jage catch-up game budak U-19 kat salisbury (mng 1-0). pastuh join senior team kat hindmarsh stadium for the cup final game against campbeltown (Super league champ, league lg atas r). saje suke2 masuk changeroom sume2, bkn sng nk masuk as official (wlpn xkje pon utk game nih).

gle rs mcm poyo plak duduk kat bench time game, dgn supporter yg aku rs ade r kot ~500-1000 kat blakang. backline mcm xkuat sgt sbb Neil (player manager) xmain sbb ade family member die meninggal beberape hari lps. so the game started bla bla bla. 2nd half, few mins in, a bloody incident happened to our captain. he suffered a concussion which left him agitated & unconcious for 1.5mins n seemed to have broken his R cheekbone a.k.a maxilla, he was spiting blood all over the pitch. thank god matt was the working physio at that moment. so we waited for the ambo ppl to come, and the game was delayed for abt ~15 mins. the crowd applauded the ambo n the medico team (i'll take it eventho aku tolong bawak beg je hahaha, nk watpe ramai2 wat kje) as the ambulance left for RAH. the match continued, and Rob hit the crossbar in the dying minutes, so 0-0 after 90mins.
to cut things short, the Foxes were triumphant over the Red Devils, credit to the GK Marion who saved the 1st penalty. i was a bit disappointed not to receive the winners medal (ade medal utk physio gk rupenye) considering i was the one who replaced matt for the quarter n semi rounds, but he truly deserves the medal of what he did for Dan today.

then i joined the team on the bus back to the clubhouse to celebrate even more, free dinner makan kari siot. hahaha.

jumaat lepas, aku abes kat Flinders med ctr agak awal so bajet2 sempat kejar solat jumaat kat Adelaide Uni pkl 12.30pm. sekali bas lambat n berlari2 aku nk kasik sempat gk kat city tuh. sampai2 prayer room time tuh dh dkt2 pkl 1pm, tp diorg kate khutbah br start sbb xdek khatib. fair enuf. mamat yg jadik khatib time tuh committee members of isoc. then bile dh abes solat ramai plak komplen rukun xckop la ape la. owh, volunteer xnk, ble org lain step up n wat silap tau lak rukun xckop la nih xbtol la ni la (arab ke, melayu ke, paki ke, sume same je). so conclusion nyer kat sini, rajin2kan r volunteerkan diri, esp bile time2 camnih. ilmu tanpe amal mcm pokok yg xberbuah, ataupon ibarat kucing yg dikasikan. bukan susa pon bace khutbah kl dh tau rukun2, kasik aku text, kat mesjit negare pon aku buleh bace!

against the odds, the Foxes managed to overcome Adelaide City 1-0 in the semi game at the Croatian Sports Complex, so they're in the final, at the Hindmarsh stdm. cun la boleh aku merayau2 kt changeroom hindmarsh. wahahahaahah!

3. mesia vs kookaburas

mesia menujukkan perkembangan yg positif, 1st half 4-0, 2nd half 8-1. kre berbaloi bayar $10 utk 9 gol (gelakkan lebau yg bajet dh grad byr $15 wahahahhahaha). so esok 2nd test match, hopefully diorg main power sket. thx to anees n nina yg menyumbangkn bekalan tenaga utk aku berbasikal blk umh.

misi minggu ini adalah berbasikal ke homeground Salisbury Utd FC. so far ni r pembasikalan yg paling menyeksakan, against headwind+ steep n prolonged climb between tea tree gully n Salisbury. berbekalkan tayar yg baru ditukar n basikal yg gagal ditukar lg, berbekalkan sistem GPS yg terkini, perjalanan dimulakan pada pkl 10.30am so that sempat sampai utk keje pkl 12tghari.

1. Holiday, 1 week less already!

19Kms, ~1hr. i hate the hilly Grand Jcn Rd

Nothing much happened during the 1st week fo holiday, i am pretty much working everyday, replacing few ppl who r off for exams, sickness, holiday etc. well, as long as i get money i shud b happy, at least for now. so the only interesting thing done was cycling to Semaphore yesterday (saturday). it was originally a trip for the away games at the Pirates Park, but the location is too close to the beach to not to spend some times watching the sunset+solat maghrib on the jetty . unfortunately it was cloudy n windy n dark. well, im not a keen sunsets chasers anyway, it's not that interesting unless it's bukak puasa time, or watching hot chix watching the sun sets, which is quite the similar concepts to bukak puasa as well, instead of bukak mulut, u open ur.... eyes.

2. Integriti

talking about integriti, i think we (or them, up there) shud learn from these honest policemen, they might b struggling to feed their kids with their salary, but they have integrity. or mayb the ppl in malaysia already learnt from the politicians, not to take RM10k or RM 500k and only accept at least a RM10mil+a submarine offer at one time. well, u know C4s n international hookers r quite expensive nowadays. and i think instead of being promoted to detektif sarjan n korperal respectively, PM n TPM posts shud b appropriate for them.

3. Full-fingered gloves

having survived 2 winters cycling with half-fingered gloves without any frostbites, i managed to land myself a full-fingered one, which i only wear them if i am cycling early in the morning, or on a really2 freezing days (<10c). i still prefer the half-finger one tho.

it was a cup round weekend last saturday at the Polonia park, the 1st game started at 9.30am, since matt the physio is away, i had to b there early, damn it was foggy/smoggy around hampstead area. the U-19s were hampered with injuries and suspensions, leaving them with only 11 players and no keeper, so an injured player opted the emptied position, and they went on to lose 2-0 to the home team after 120mins of play. the reserves played Galaxy n the seniors thrashed Croydon 2-0 to grab a spot in the semi. so the results r:

games were played at the South Adelaide Panthers' ground. an u-19 manager picked me up at south tce at 9am. all the ppl tot i am recovering from fri nite hangover due to my swollen eyes. they're just some allergy reaction from the nite b4. well how come u got hangover if u never drink?
i didnt stay for the Seniors game since im a bit time-sticken due to write-ups n work, n thanks to Ross+ his mum ( i guess...) who gave me a lift to UNISA CE.

3. Kje HJ

did closing last nite, went pass a fellow worker's car, n 2 secs after dat i heard a chkchkboom sound (they were more like a skidding followed by crashing sounds). i turn around n there was a car i saw 2 secs ago, crushed into a light pole, but cruched into a car on the otherside of the road b4hand. everybody was fine, but there were 2 firetrucks, 4 policecars (2 officers in each), n 1 ambo attending the crash scene. that shows how ineffective these ppl work, n what a waste of taxpayers' money (donuts n coffees r not included)

"seriously, u have to leave" said a policewoman in a very unfriendly + cocky tone. just another reason to dislike the ppl in the uniform. well at least they didnt ask for money, which is good enuff.

n im going to work in an hr, n likely to b back at 1+am again like yesterday.

Goodbye Eddy, Shida n Cica

My earliest memory of Eddy tracked back to mid yr 2006, when i was informed by Aie dat someguy called 'Eddy' is coming and will be squatting at our house. 'Eddy', what kind of malay name is dat? straight away in my head i was contemplating he must b a cheeky, mummyboy kind of person. so he came in july06, and the 1st thing i ever remembered asking him doing was this. then he got married to his gf, and moved out of the house last yr.

last few days i've been commuting to Eddy's house on a regular basis, helping him out on moving his furnitures n boxes, n i am quite fortunate to be able to met him last night, b4 he left this morning, cosidering i got a punctured tyre, fixed dat n cycled 18+kms (i also rejected 2-3 working shifts in 5 days to suit his busy schedule). i really dont mind doing all these, i just cant say enough thanks to him, who helped me a lot in all sorts of stuffs within the 3 short years. he might not be the most religious n organised person i've ever met, but really I admired his way of dealing with things, therefore the best n fairest award shud go to him. naaa.. i'll keep the award but he truly deserve my respect n admiration. thanks a lot!

not a good week last saturday. i got lost and went to the wrong place (damn u googlemap), 1 guy from the U-19 got smacked in the back n stuffed his kidney (grade IV), still in hospital until today, thank god they did not have to remove the kidney (grade V), n the seniors lost despite playing against 9 men, and was leading twice. so these r the results:
